Two Bangladeshis have made it to Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list featuring 300 young disruptors, innovators and entrepreneurs across the region, all under the age of 30.

They are Pathao cofounder Hussain Elius, 29, and cartoonist Abdulla al Morshed, 25, of whom the former is named in two categories - Consumer Technology and Big Money Startups - and the latter in one - Media, Marketing & Advertising.

In an announcement, Forbes said Hussain Elius along with Shifat Adnan cofounded Pathao, the leading ride-sharing, on-demand logistics, and food delivery platform in Bangladesh.

Pathao’s motorbike and car hailing vertical alone now serves five million riders across five cities in Bangladesh and Kathmandu in Nepal.

Elius envisions Pathao as the country’s ‘super app’ and is inspired by one of his key investors, Indonesia’s Go-Jek. Pathao has raised over $12.8 million from four rounds of funding and is valued at over $100 million.

As for Abdulla al Morshed, the American magazine said the cartoonist, who goes under the pen name Morshed Mishu, came in the limelight with his 'Global Happiness Challenge' project at the beginning of 2018 when he started transforming his love for comics into a thought-provoking art form.

With his fresh and unparalleled vision, he took tragic and breathtaking pictures of war and deaths and redrew them into beautiful scenarios of love, happiness, and togetherness, hoping to show how beautiful the world would be without violence or war.

His artworks have been featured in exhibitions in Berlin and London.

He is the founder of Morshed Mishu's Illustration and currently working as the assistant editor at the Dhaka-based satire magazine, Unmad.

In last year too, two Bangladeshis were named in the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list.
