Tunisia boat capsize: 15 Bangladeshi survivors return home

All 15 Bangladeshis who were rescued alive after a deadly boat capsize in the Mediterranean off the coast of Tunisia, have returned home.

A flight of Turkish Airlines, TK-712, carrying them aboard landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 5:50am on Tuesday, local media reported.

A total of 75 migrants, including 51 Bangladeshis, started for Italy from Libya in a boat on May 9.

As they were transfered onto a smaller boat in the deep sea, it sank leaving 65 dead, while 16 others, of whom 15 Bangladeshis, were rescued alive.
