Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three suspected members of banned militant outfit ‘Allahr Dal’ from Zafarpur Government Primary School premises in Chuadanga sadar upazila early Friday.
The arrestees are Ruhul Amin, 40, son of Shamsul Huda of Kulchara village in Sadar upazila; KalamMandal, 39, son of Abjal Mandal of Gopinathpur village in Damurhuda upazila; Nur Islam Pakhi, 38, son of Abdur Razzak of Bhutiergati village in Jhenaidah district, reports a news agency.
Talking at a press briefing, held at the RAB media centre, Additional superintendent of RAB-6 Masud Alam, said acting on secret information, a team of RAB-6 conducted a drive in the area and arrested them while they were holding a clandestine meeting in the dead of night.
Two leaflets, a list of the members of the organisation, some important documents, and three mobile phone sets were seized from their possession.
