Police arrested a suspected woman pedlar along with 500 grams of hemp and 25 pieces of Yaba tablets from Sherpur area of Sadar upazila of Moulvibazar district on Sunday evening.
The arrestee was identified as Ranu Begum (45), wife of late Delwar Ahammed, hailing from Brahmangram area of the upazila, a news agency reported.
A team of police conducted a drive in the area around 6:30 pm and arrested Ranu along with the drugs, said Sohel Ahammed, the Officer-in-Charge of Model Police Station.
