Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury urged the young journalists to acquire knowledge on International relations and regional diplomacy like renowned journalist late Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury.
She made the remarks on Saturday at a book launching ceremony held at the CIRDAP auditorium in the city.
The title of the book is Late Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury’s Nirbachito Kolam( selected Columns).
Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury Memorial Trust organised the ceremony.
Food Minister Qamrul Islam, who is also the president of the trust, chaired the launching ceremony.
Speaking at the function as the chief guest, Shirin said Zaglul’s analytical power on regional South Asian politics, diplomacy and international relation was truly praiseworthy.
Qamrul Islam termed Zaglul as patriotic and non-communal and urged all to come forward with the help and support for the welfare of the trust.
Shyamal Dutta, secretary general of the trust and also editor of the Daily Bhorer Kagoj, conducted the programme.
