Six bodies washed up on the shores of Sughanda point of Cox’s Bazar sea beach on Wednesday.

Being informed by local people, a team of police recovered four bodies from the beach around 6:00 am while retrieved two other bodies around 8:00 am, police said.

Khairuzzaman, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Sadar Model Police Station, said that the police also found a trawler near the beach.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet, reports UNB.

Police suspected that all the victims are fishermen and might have died in trawler capsize amid storm.

The bodies were taken to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
