A motorcyclist was killed while another injured as a pick-up van hit their motorcycle on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Hemayetpur area of Savar on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abul Hashem, hailing from Faridpur.
Abul Kashem, sub-inspector of Savar Model Police Station, said the accident took place around 9 am when the pick-up van hit the motorcycle from the backside, leaving Hashem dead on the spot and rider Jabed Miah injured.
Meanwhile, at least 20 passengers were injured after a bus plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver lost control over the wheel in Bypail area in the morning, reports UNB.
