Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a Union Parishad (UP) member reportedly with 2,256 Yaba tablets from Barogharia in Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Thursday night.
The arrestee was identified as Ranju Khan, 35, a member of Barogharia Union Parishad and son of Nur Alam Khan in the upazila, reports UNB.
Tipped off, a team of RAB-5 conducted a drive in the area and arrested Ranju along with 2256 pieces of Yaba pills around 9:00 pm, said a RAB press release issued on Thursday night.
A case was filed with Sadar Police Station.
