The elite crime busting force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has launched an awareness campaign in Dhaka with a view to ensuring the use of masks to contain the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.

A drive led by RAB executive magistrate Palash Kumar Basu was conducted in the city’s Shahbagh area at around 11.15am on Thursday.

During the drive, Mr Basu talked to the commuters who violated the government’s health rules and made them aware of the Covid-19 crisis.

The elite force executive magistrate said they will also carry out several drives in the capital’s City College, Farmgate and Mirpur areas.
