Two expelled leaders of BNP elected in Chapainawabganj

Anwarul Islam, former activist of BNP in Bholahat upazila of Chapainawabganj, is elected by getting 13,084 votes. His nearest rival district Awami League Vice President Abdul Khalek got 10,766 votes. Anwarul Islam is the former joint general secretary of district BNP and former upazila parishad chairman.

For participating in the election, these two BNP leaders have been expelled from all positions including primary membership of the party.

On the other hand, Nachol Upazila Awami League General Secretary Abdul Quader was elected for the third consecutive time by getting 33 thousand 992 votes. His closest rival, Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal, also Awami League activist, got 10,870 votes.
