The influx of dengue infected patients keep rising as a total on 1,712 new patients were admitted in hospitals in 24 hours till Thursday morning.
Out of the total 1,150 of the new patients are in Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.
With the addition, the total number of infections across the country this year has risen to an all-time high of 19,513.
Some 15,614 people were infected with in July alone, as per DGHS data.
However, doctors and agencies concerned claims the actual number could be higher than official figure.
Among the hospitals, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) received the highest 222 number patients from Wednesday 8:00am to Thursday 8:00am.
