Operations have resumed at the Chittagong maritime port and the Shah Amanat International Airport, with the cyclone Bulbul already weakening too much to cause any ruins.

The airport manager, wing commander Sarwar-E-Jahan, said the airport restarted its regular activities after remaining shut for around 14 hours.

Flights have been landing and taking off since 6:00 in the morning today (Sunday), local media reported quoting him.

The maritime port secretary, Omar Faruk, said operational activities, including handling of containers, have resumed at the seaport.

However, loading and unloading of mother vessels at the outer anchorage have not yet restarted, he said.

Cyclonic storm ‘Bulbul’ has already weakened into a deep depression after crossing the coasts in Khulna.
