A 10-member Oikyafront delegation, led by its chief Dr Kamal Hossain, have sat in a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda at Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka.
They are likely to seek the Election Commission's permission to hold a rally in the city on December 28, just two days ahead of the election scheduled for December 30.
Among the other members are BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, senior BNP leaders Mirza Abbas, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Jafar Ullah Chowdhury, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Mostofa Mohsin Montu, Subrata Chowdhury and Nazrul Islam Khan, UNB reported.
Election Commissioners Mahbub Talukder and Rafiqul Islam and EC Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed are also present at the meeting.
