The total number of internet subscribers has reached 99.428 million at the end of December 2019, the statistics of the country's telecom regulator has showed.
There were 91.421 million subscribers as of the end of January 2019, according to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
Of the total subscribers, the BTRC data showed that there were 93.681million mobile internet users and 5.742 million broadband Internet users and the rest were WiMAX users in the country.
Bangladesh has witnessed a boom in internet usage riding on the back of fast-growing mobile internet and the government's push for digitalisation.
