A young man was stabbed to death by miscreants in Bezpara Graveyard area of Jashore district town on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Romzan Ali, son of Badshah Mia of Taltola in the town, reports UNB.
A group of 15-20 miscreants stabbed Romzan in the chest, stomach and hands behind the house of one Dollar around 8:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot, said witnesses.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Jashore General Hospital morgue.
Golam Rabbani, assistant superintendent of police (Ka circle), and Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, also visited the spot.
The OC said they were trying to arrest the killers.
Although police were yet to ascertain the reason behind the murder, locals claimed that it took place following an internal feud between two groups of drug peddlers.
