A housewife was killed by lightning strike in Barakher village of Laxmiprasad union in Kanaighat upazila of Sylhet district on Saturday night.
The dead has been identified as Jabedun, 35, wife of one Jakaria Ahmad of the village, reports UNB.
Locals said a lightning struck her house while Jabedun was working around 9:30pm, living her dead on the spot.
Jabedun's all six children also sustained minor injuries and they are now undergoing treatment at local hospital.
