An under-construction grid substation caught fire in Keraniganj on the outskirts of the capital on Wednesday night.
Ataur Rahman, duty office at the Fire Service Central Control Room, said the fire originated at the grid station at Malancha around 10:25pm.
On information, seven firefighting units rushed in and brought the fire under control around 1am on Thursday, UNB reported quoting the official.
The reason behind the fire could not be known yet.
