‘Govt to build 33,000 academic buildings within 2019’

The government will build 33 thousand academic buildings across the country within 2019.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid came up with the announcement while addressing the closing ceremony of a training course at National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM) on Thursday. Director General of NAEM Prof Dr Syed Md Golam Faruk presided over the function, reports BSS.

“An unprecedented infrastructural development has taken place in the education sector. Around 33,000 academic buildings will also be established within 2019 at schools, colleges and madrashas. So, it will be possible to give more allocation for improving quality education by lessening expenditure in infrastructural development in future,” said the minister.

A total of 177 teachers of education cadre took part in the four-month long training course.

Later, the minister distributed certificates among the trainees.
