The ministry of religious affairs on Sunday ordered everyone to strictly maintain the guideline of wearing a face mask at places of worship, including mosques.
The order came in a notification from the ministry as a measure to fight the second wave of Covid-19 in the country.
The order read that people are found reluctant to wear face masks in places of worship despite there are repeated government orders to do so to check the spread of the infection.
The notification also asked all places of worship to hang the notice of wearing face mask as mandatory guideline at the main entrance.
Besides, religious places of worship will have to regularly announce the government order to wear face masks before entering those places.
