Five people died in a road accident at Noy Mile on Bogra-Dhaka highway in Shahjahanpur of the district on Monday afternoon.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be known. 20 others were injured in the accident.
The accident took place when a bus collided head-on with a covered van around 4 pm, leaving five people dead on the spot, said Officer-in-Charge of Shahjahanpur Police Station Zia Latiful Islam.
UNB says, the injured were rushed to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.
