At least 18 shops were gutted in a fire which broke out at Haat Krishnapur Bazar in Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur on Thursday night.
Saifuzzaman, senior station officer of Faridpur Fire service, said the fire broke out on a shop at around 10:30 pm and spread quickly.
On information, a fire-fighting unit went to the spot and extinguished the fire, UNB reported.
However, it was not clear what caused the fire.
