Fire at Rampura power sub-station

A fire broke out at the 230/132 KV Sub-Station at Rampura in the capital at around 4:00pm on Saturday.

The blaze originated from an explosion in a transformer inside the power station, an official of the station told the FE.

On information, three units of the fire fighters from Tejgaon Fire Service rushed to the spot to douse the flame.

The fire came under control at around 4:45pm.

Locals also told the FE that several transformers were also bursted following the explosion inside the power station that led to power outage in the adjacent areas including Mohanagar Housing project, Bagichar Tek, Jheelkanon, Wapda Road and Ulan etc.
