Egypt has assured Bangladesh to continue its support to Gambia regarding a case with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against for ensuring justice for Rohingya people, forcibly displaced from Myanmar.
Outgoing Egyptian Ambassador to Bangladesh Walid Ahmed Shamseldin conveyed the message of his country during his farewell call on Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen in Dhaka on Sunday.
The outgoing ambassador also said his country’s support on Rohingya repatriation will be continued.
During the meeting, the foreign minister put stress on enhancing bilateral trade cooperation between Bangladesh and Egypt, calling on Egypt to invest in Bangladesh’s economic zones.
Momen requested Egypt for establishing of petro-chemical industry in Bangladesh. The ambassador informed that Egypt is interested in the matter.
