Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets of Dhaka, fined automobile riders Tk 2.642 million for breaching traffic laws on Tuesday.
Following the breaches, the department filed 4412 cases against different modes of vehicles over the violations, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 817 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 65 for using hydraulic horn, eight for using hotter and beckon light and 15 others for using tinted glass.
Among the cases, police filed 1786 cases against motorcycles and seized 127 others for violation of the traffic rules, reports BSS.
Traffic police has dumped 57 vehicles and wrecked 813 others.
