Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Sunday realised Tk 3.786 million in fines from traffic offenders.
A total of 4,609 cases were also filed against different modes of vehicles for violating traffic rules, they said in a statement.
Of the cases, 820 were lodged for driving on the wrong sides, 38 for using hydraulic horns, three for using hooters and beacon lights, and 20 others for using tinted glasses.
As for traffic violations by motorcycles, the traffic division filed 2,042 cases and seized 91 motorcycles.
A total of 15 motorcyclists faced cases for using mobile phones while driving.
Apart from this, the traffic police dumped 30 vehicles and wrecked 665 others.
