Dhaka sees rains overnight through morning

Dhaka city experienced rains along with freezing cold winds overnight through Tuesday morning.

The rains stopped for some time early in the morning but dark clouds were not gone.

Then in torrents came it again, this time with chilly winds, giving a biting cold feel.

Around 8:30 am, the sun came out of the clouds, only to go behind it again sometime later.

As the rains subsided in the morning, commuters did not have to suffer much.

The sun again made its return at 10:00am for a brief period, as if it were playing a hide and seek with rains.

According to weather office, there may be rains accompanied by temporary gutsy or squally winds or hail in different parts of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Syhet divisions.

This condition may continue for 72 hours.

The mercury may come down on Tuesday.

Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and its adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.
