Dengue likely to come under control by early Sept: Khokon

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Sayeed Khokon today said mosquito-borne dengue outbreak could be brought under control by the first week of September.

While talking at a programme at the health ministry on the dengue situation, he said that they are continuing their efforts to the hilt about this.

He claimed that several wards of Dhaka south city have already been freed from the menace . Those wards wards are 14, 15, 18, 22, 23, 29, 35, 42, 55, 56, according to local media reports.

Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam, who was also present at the programme, spoke about measures taken to control the dengue outbreak and to help people during this situation.

Principal Coordinator of SDG Affairs at the PMO Md Abul Kalam Azad, among others, was present at the programme.
