The death toll in Dhaka's Banani FR Tower fire has reached 25, say the city police, adding that nobody has remained missing in the incident.

The number of people injured is 73, said SM Mostak Ahmed, deputy commissioner of Gulshan zone, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), at a media briefing in front of the spot on Friday morning.

Of the bodies, he said, 24 have been handed over to the families of the victims while the 25th kept at the morgue of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

No case has yet been filed over the incident, Ahmed said.

In last month, Dhaka had witnessed another fire tragedy that saw more than 70 killed and several others injured.
