Customs officials arrested an employee of Biman Bangladesh Airlines along with 6.960 kilograms of gold from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka.
The total cost of the gold is estimated to be of Tk 35 million, told deputy commissioner Othela Chowdhury of Dhaka Customs House to BSS agency.
He said the Biman employee, Billal Hossain, is a driver of their office cars.
Legal action was taken to this end, he added.
