Police in special drives arrested 86 people accused in different cases from eight upazilas of Satkhira district from Saturday evening to Sunday morning.
Of them, 22 were arrested from Sadar upazila, 13 from Kolaroa upazila while the others from Kaliganj, Ahsashuni, Patkelghata, Debhata, Shamnagar, and Tala upazilas, said Inspector Azam Khan of Special Branch of Satkhira district police.
Police also seized 130 bottles of phensedyl syrup during the drives, according to a news agency report.
Besides, four new cases were filed against them.
