A couple were found hanging at Rukindipur Farkirpara village under Akkelpur upazila in Joypurhat on Thursday morning.
The deceased are Saiful Islam, 24, son of Lokman Hossain, and his wife Sonia Akhter, 21.
Quoting locals, Golam Mostafa, a sub-inspector of Akkelpur Police Station, said Saiful married Sonia Akhter, a resident of Sahapur village, one and a half years ago.
Saiful ‘committed suicide’ by hanging himself at his room on Wednesday night following a family feud. After Saiful’s death, Sonia went missing.
After a frantic search, locals found Sonia’s body hanging from a mango tree on Thursday morning.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Joypurhat Modern Hospital for autopsy.
Separate unnatural death cases were filed, reports UNB.
