A six-month-old baby boy was killed and his parent injured as a battery-run easy-bike overturned after being hit by a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Uttar Algee area of Haimchar upazila.
The deceased was identified as Sabbir Hossain, son of one Mostafa Patwary, reports a news agency.
The accident took place on Monday evening when the auto-rickshaw driver hit the speedy easy-bike during overtaking, leaving Sabbir dead on the spot.
Police arrested easy-bike driver Shohag Miah and seized his vehicle.
