A helper of a truck was killed and three others got injured as two trucks collided head-on over Khulna-Satkhira highway in Tala upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Liton Hossain, 35, son of late Khalid Mridha of Jurkati village of the upazila, reports UNB.
According to Mollah Jakir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Patkelghata Police Station, the accident took place when two trucks collided head-on in Kumira College road area around 11 pm, leaving four injured.
Locals rushed the injured to Satkhira Sadar Hospital in critical condition, said Farhad Jamil, residential medical officer, adding that Liton died on the way to hospital.
