Two motorcycle riders were killed and two others injured following a head-on collision between two motorbikes on Kaliganj-Shymganj road in Pirojpur Katakhali area of Kaliganj upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Mannan Sarder, 50, son of Mofiz Uddin of Nijdebpur village and Nur Hossain, 32, son of Azgar Ali of Sonatola village, reports a news agency.
Imran Mehedi Siddiq, assistant superintendent of police of Kaliganj circle, said two motorcycles collided head on in the area around 10:30am, leaving one from each of the motorcycles dead on the spot and two others -- Tuhin and Shanto-- injured.
