The production at Fenchuganj Fertiliser Factory in Sylhet remained suspended since Tuesday morning as government decided to stop gas supply to all fertiliser factories.
The government took the decision to stop gas supply for ensuring uninterrupted power supply elsewhere during the summer.
Manager of Fenchuganj regional gas distribution office Biplab Kumar Biswas said the production will be resumed on receipt of fresh government decision.
"It may continue 5 days or 10 days. The production remains suspended at the fertiliser factory like this once or twice a year," the official said.
