The driver and his helper of a Barguna-bound vegetable-laden truck were killed when the vehicle plunged into a roadside ditch on Patuakhli-Kolapara road in Patuakhli Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred when the trucker lost control over the wheels, skidded off the road and fell into the ditch around 6:00 am, said Mustafizur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station.
Tipped off, Police recovered the bodies of the driver Abul Hossain (35), and his helper Kalam (32) from the spot, according to a local news agency.
