Police arrested a primary education officer and a female assistant teacher of a primary school from Khulna city area over 'illicit affair'.
The arrestees are Ashit Kumar Barman, assistant primary education officer of the district and primary school teacher Nusrat Jahan Poly.
They were arrested on Thursday in a case filed by Nusrat Jahan's husband Mizanur Rahman.
Police said that Mizanur left the house at night for going to Dhaka. But he returned home around 11pm and found Ashit with his wife in an objectionable condition.
Later law enforcers arrested them in this connection. They were sent to jail on Friday.
According to UNB, Ramendranath Poddar, primary education officer of the district, said that they have heard the news and will take action on Sunday.
