BIGL starts production of medical oxygen for COVID-19 patients  

An industrial unit located at Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) industrial estate in Tangail started producing medial oxygen amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The industrial unit named Bangladesh Industrial Gas Limited (BIGL) is now producing medical oxygen to help meet the growing demand for it in fight against COVID-19 disease.

The BIGL has been producing 700 cubic feet of oxygen per day following the directives of the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA).

The company supplies oxygen cylinders numbering from 500 to 700 on a daily basis to several hospitals across the country, according to the ministry of industries.
