Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized a pistol, magazine and five rounds of bullet from Ajmatpur frontier area under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj on Saturday evening.
According to BGB sources, acting on secret information, a patrol team of the force lay in wait in the said area around 6:45pm and saw a smuggler coming from the Indian territory with a luggage. Sensing law enforcement presence, the smuggler fled away leaving the luggage behind, reports BSS.
Firearm and bullets were found upon searching the luggage which were recovered and handed over to Shibganj Police, said BGB sources.
