BGB recovers 42 cocktails in C'nawabganj

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh recovered 42 cocktail bombs from Saorapara and Lakkhir char areas of the river Padma under Shibganj upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

Acting on a tip-off, two BGB teams of the battalion conducted separate drives in the areas of the river and recovered the cocktail bombs, said Lieutenant Colonel SM Abul Ehsan, commanding officer (CO) of BGB-9 Battalion.

Sensing the presence of BGB the miscreants fled away, he said.

BGB team of Fatepur BOP identified the miscreants who carried the cocktails as M Hero, 25, and M. Tariqul, 30, residents of Gaipara village under Shibganj upazila of the district, the CO said.

According to BSS a case was recorded with Shibganj police station in this connection.
