Noted film director and actor Amjad Hossain was laid to eternal rest at his hometown in Jamalpur on Sunday.
Amjad Hossain was buried beside the graves of his parents at Jamalpur municipality graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza, held at Jamalpur High School ground around 10:00am.
People from all walks of life attended the janaza and paid their last respects to Amjad Hossain.
Earlier, his body was taken to his Iqbalpur residence in the district town on Saturday night when State Minister for Textiles and Jute Mirza Azam paid last tributes to him, reports UNB.
Earlier, hundreds of people from all walks of life paid their last tributes to the noted film director at the central Shaheed Minar on Saturday.
The body of Amjad Hossain was brought back home from Bangkok on Friday evening.
The veteran director breathed his last at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok on December 14.
