The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday submitted the railway ministry its findings of 10 identified sources of corruption in the sector.

The ACC team, formed to find irregularities in Bangladesh Railway (BR), also provided 15 recommendations to deal with the situation.

ACC Commissioner Mohammad Mozammel Haque Khan submitted its report to Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan at the latter’s office.

“The recommendations submitted by the ACC would be taken into account for the betterment of the railway sector”, said the minister at a press briefing.

The corruption watchdog formed 25 separate teams in 2017 to find irregularities in 25 ministries and directorates.

In the meantime, the ACC has already submitted its finding and observations to 12 ministries.

This is the 13th report that the ACC has submitted.

Not only the railway sector but all the sectors of the country are under ACC’s surveillance to fight corruption in the country, said Mr. Khan.
