ACC seizes money, stops transactions of bank accounts run by CMCH employees

Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has seized Tk 2.9 million (29,47,696) and directed to stop transaction of four bank accounts run by employees of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Sunday.

Deputy Assistant Director of ACC Chattogram Region-2 Sharif Uddin said, “We have directed to stop transactions of four bank accounts related with CMCH employees on Sunday. The banks accounts are Third Class Workers’ Welfare Account, Staff Canteen Fund, Medicof and Nursing Welfare Fund.”

He said, “ACC has been investigating over the corruption of employees of Chattogram Medical College Hospital and following the investigation, we have sealed the accounts and seized the money.”

Lakshman Chandra Das, manager of Agrani Bank, CMCH branch admitted seizing of the money and stopping the transaction of four bank accounts.

ACC started investigating the corruption of employees of CMCH last month.
