The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted drives at passport offices in seven districts on Thursday following allegations lodged through its hotline of irregularities and harassment by officials.
Seven separate enforcement teams of ACC conducted these drive at the passport offices in Dinajpur, Barisal, Comilla, Tangail, Meherpur, and Munshiganj.
During the drive, the ACC enforcement teams arrested four brokers found guilty of the allegations.
ACC director general (admin) Muhammad Munir Chowdhury, also chief coordinator (enforcement) said in a statement that ACC conducted these drives in order to stop corruption and harassment in passport office.
Following proper investigation further action would be taken, he added.
