Abul Kasem’s fourth death anniversary tomorrow

The fourth death anniversary of Md Abul Kasem, a former first class gazetted officer of Defence Finance (Army), will be observed tomorrow (November 10).

Abul Kasem died on November 10, 2015 at Sreerampur under Badalgachhi Upazila in Naogaon. He left behind his wife, three sons, three daughters, eight grandchildren and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.

He is the father of Md Jahangir Alam, Senior Sub-Editor at the country’s leading financial daily The Financial Express. 

On the occasion, a milad mahfil and qurankhani will be held at his son Jahangir Alam’s residence in Dhaka after Asr prayers.

His relatives, friends and well-wishers have been requested to attend the programme and pray for the salvation of the departed soul. 

In his long and successful career, Abul Kasem, DAFC (Retd), served in various capacities at Defence Finance (Army) and the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh (CAG). He was also deputed in civil administration.

As a patron of education, Abul Kasem discharged his duties as a chairman of Sreerampur FK High School for two terms after he went  on retirement from the government service. He was also involved in various social and humanitarian works.
