9,862 candidates pass in 38th BCS written test

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission has published the results of the written tests under the 38th BCS examinations choosing 9,862 examinees for viva voce.

The results are now available on its website from Monday, reports bdnews24.com.

BPSC Examination Controller AEM Nesaruddin said the viva voce may start on July 29.

"The complete timetable will be published soon," he added.

A number of 288,899 job seekers sat for the preliminary exam in the 38th BCS while 346,440 candidates had applied initially. The number of candidates attending the written tests was 14,546.

Now, BPSC selected 9,862 candidates from 14,546 for viva voce.

Sources said, the authorities have increased number of posts in 38th BCS examinations.

As per the proposal of the public administration ministry, the number of appointees will be increased to 2,160 from 2,024 in the 38th BCS.
