As many as 282 children were killed in the country in the first eight months of the current calendar year, according to a local independent rights body.
Of the victims, 30 children were killed after being raped during January to August this year, according to the report of Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK).
Of the total victims, 85 were aged between7 to 12 and 50 victims were aged below 6, the ASK’s report said.
Seven committed suicide after being raped during the time, it said, adding 123 cases were filed in connection with the incidents.
