Kotaro lives alone with a heartwarming basket of story

‘Kotaro Lives Alone’ aired on Netflix on March 10, 2022. This anime has already won many hearts because of its lovely and bittersweet plot. 

Based on Mami Tsumura's manga, the tale is complex and never seems superficial. Kotaro's capacity to reflect a four-year-old boy's naivety and playfulness while having the cognitive process of an adult keeps you smiling.

There isn't much to say about the art and animation in Kotaro Lives Alone other than the fact that it keeps up with the overall concept of the story. There aren't any lengthy moments with complex animations to contend with. 

However, the odd twinkles that appear at just the perfect time help to create the tone for the animation. The concept art isn't attractive, but the vibrant colours do a good job of making the show appear pleasingly wholesome. 

Characters are crafted with care, and it is evident every time we witness Kotaro's adorableness erupting throughout the film's sequences.

Since Kotaro Lives Alone is a self-contained world, there isn't much to complain about. From grief to bursts of laughter, we experience many different emotions throughout the story. 

The experience of witnessing a little child live alone can be unsettling at times, particularly when we witness him prepare meals on his own, despite the fact that the purpose of the anime is to keep the plot simple and uplifting.
