They will merge these two units with ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ unit tests under faculties of science, arts and business  respectively.

The decision was taken at a deans’ meeting on Sunday, with DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.

Dr Akhtaruzzaman told reporters that the decision was taken for reducing examination stress of the students keeping in mind the three core groups students of science, arts and business studies at the HSC level.

The outline of the tests will be formed later and the preliminary decision of eliminating ‘D’ and ‘F’ unit admission tests will also be finalised at the Academic Council meeting, he added.
