BOU Business School launches newly designed learning management system

As a part of the Blended Learning initiative of the Bangladesh Open University (BOU), its School of Business has launched a newly designed Learning Management System (LMS) to scale up its courses.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Syed Humayun Akhter launched the new LMS at the eLearning Center of BOU on Monday (Nov 7, 2022).

BOP's LMS was designed and developed with the support of the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and the consulting support of Subbir Hossain, a software developer.

Treasurer and Dean of BOU's School of Business Prof. Mostafa Azad Kamal was the coordinator and instructional designer of the project.

The School of Business's LMS was designed to offer regular business courses and skills courses nationwide. And it would enable anybody from anywhere in the country to join the courses via the LMS.

Mr Kamal also said that BOU's Business School would use its newly launched LMS to offer skills-based MOOCs to prepare students for the 4th Industrial Revolution.

BOU Pro Vice Chancellors Professor Dr. Nasim Banu (administration),  Professor Dr. Mahbuba Nasreen (academic), and Treasurer Professor Mostafa Azad Kamal, also Dean of the School of Business, were present during the LMS launching.
